What are we measuring when we decide someone is paying attention, being productive, or doing well?
And when something isn’t working, why is the person so often the first thing we try to change?
Sometimes the person needs support, instruction, practice, or a different strategy. Sometimes the environment, expectation, measure, or rule deserves another look.
